Miniaturschweißnähte sind sehr empfindlich gegenüber kleinen Wärmeprofilschwankungen im Widerstandsschweißprozess. Überhitzung verformt und zerstört Teile, während eine zu geringe Temperatur zu einer schwachen und nicht akzeptablen Verbindung führt. Um gleichmäßige und zuverlässige Schweißnähte von kleinen bis zu Miniaturteilen zu erreichen, muss die Heizung präzise gesteuert werden. Dafür ist eine überlegene Kontrolle der Energieabgabe erforderlich.
